i offered the album for free, gave credit to the original song creators on my promo vid on youtube, and gave the album a creative commons license. so there should be no reason why it would be illegal
No reason unless the original tracks weren't released under CC? Not that anyone will probably care, I'm just curious about legal aspects. Mashups are a bit of a gray zone.
as long as i'm not charging anyone money for the album i don't think anyone will care
